British Karting stars Ryan & Jordan Hewitt and Derby County Ladies FC Lorna Abbey receive support from lane 1.

Ryan and his brother Jordan both entered the National Karting Championship for 2009. They both qualified at the Daytona Circuit in Milton Keynes then made it through in 3rd (Jordan) and 6th (Ryan) at the semi-finals at Whilton Mill in Daventry on 31st October. On November 7th both boys competed in the Grand Finals at Daytona in Milton Keynes. Jordan placed 7th and Ryan placed 4th, narrowly missing third place! A great result for both boys in their first season in NKC. Ryan is spending the winter season testing different karts and engines and preparing for the new 2010 season in STARS and Super 1.

Lorna Abbey plays a massive part at the heart of the Derby defense. Lorna’s contribution throughout the season helped gain promotion to the women’s northern premiership facing teams like Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester City and Aston Villa.
